Individual therapy is the process of self-exploration. It is a place where you can show up authentically, with all the parts of yourself that are often hidden from the rest of world. Therapy is a place where you can feel safe and begin to identify the things in your life that you want to be different or more satisfying. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, you and I will look at negative coping patterns that are blocking your health, happiness and relationships. We all, in one way or another, want to be free of our past and free of the negative patterns that are thwarting our growth. I can offer you new, healthy coping skills and an ability to drop into your deepest and truest Self. We will work together to identify what is meaningful to you and what your values are. I want you to learn to take action around your values and stay connected to them. Lastly and most importantly, therapy is a place for you to express and tolerate painful emotions. The paramount reason humans feel pain is that they are constantly avoiding pain. I will teach you ways to stay present and awake to your journey in life, regardless if it is messy and painful.
